Website Development — Healthcare Digital Marketing in Kolkata

Give Patients A Reason To Stay On The Page.

A clinic website can look polished and still leave patients searching for basic facts. The doctor's qualifications are hard to find, service details are out of date, and the contact form asks for information without saying how it will be handled. A redesign should fix those problems before adding effects.

Healthcare website design in Kolkata from Medmatis means clear structure, mobile and accessible layouts, factual doctor and department pages, and carefully reviewed forms. We build around the NMC's guidelines, and the doctor approves content before launch.

Your website should make services, practitioner details, contact information and next steps easy to understand without promotional claims.

We plan and build healthcare websites with clear navigation, verified information, privacy-conscious forms and a review before launch.

The short answer

Healthcare website design helps doctors, clinics and hospitals show facts on clear, usable pages. Medmatis builds around the NMC's guidelines, with no misleading claims, pressure offers or unreviewed clinical content.

Updated 23 October 2026. Built around the NMC's Public Notice No. R-13014/01/2024-Ethics of 6 October 2026. Not legal advice.

Who this is for

A clinic with an old, confusing siteNeeds a practical redesign that clarifies services, practitioner details, contact information and navigation before new features.
A hospital with several departmentsNeeds one structure for department pages, facilities, charges and doctor directories, with facts visitors can find easily.
A doctor planning a new websiteNeeds a clear page scope, practitioner disclosures and a content review, without unsupported claims or guesses about what may be published.
A practice collecting data onlineNeeds forms and booking routes that ask only for what they need, with data handling and consent wording reviewed before launch.

What's included

Planning and page structure We map the pages, navigation and internal links before design begins, keeping practitioner information, services, education and contact routes clearly separate.
Mobile-friendly design We design layouts that adapt to phone and desktop, keeping essential details readable. The doctor reviews how services, practitioners and contact options are shown.
Doctor and department pages We structure profiles and departments around verified names, recognised qualifications, specialties, registration details and availability. The practice confirms every detail.
Accessibility and performance We review headings, readability, navigation, images and technical performance, and list practical improvements, not a promised speed score or search position.
Forms, booking and privacy text We build agreed contact or booking forms and draft consent and privacy wording for review. The clinic confirms what is collected, why and under which legal requirements.
Structured data and launch checks We check titles, headings, links, visible service information and structured data against the approved content, and record open issues before launch.

How we work

We start with the people who will use the site and the information they need. We review the current pages, navigation, practitioner details and service structure, then agree what to keep, correct, add or remove. The goal is a clear information architecture, not a redesign driven only by appearance.

We then build the structure and design, develop the agreed features and prepare content for review, with attention to mobile use, accessibility, factual disclosures and privacy-conscious forms. If a claim or a data question needs clarifying, we flag it instead of assuming an answer for the clinic.

Before launch, the doctor or authorised institutional representative reviews the content and confirms the facts. We check the agreed pages, forms and navigation and record anything unresolved. The doctor or institution stays responsible for what it authorises, even when an agency builds the site (cl. 4.4).

How the NMC rules shape this service

The notice binds doctors and hospitals, and an agency does not remove that responsibility (cl. 4.4). These are the clauses this service is designed around.

Allowed Keep institutional information factualHospital and institution websites may carry factual, objective, verifiable information on location, departments, facilities, equipment, services, emergency services, accreditation and charges (cl. 8.3, 9.1). No solicitation, inducement, superiority claims or guaranteed outcomes.
Allowed with care Doctor directories inform, not promoteA directory of names, recognised qualifications, specialties, registration details and availability is patient information, not advertising (cl. 9.1). Keep entries consistent and factual, and do not turn a profile into a claim that one doctor is better than another.
Your responsibility Required details on electronic profilesDoctors, and clinical establishments for their doctors, must show name, qualifications, registration status and registration number on electronic media (cl. 3.2, Explanations III and IV). The practice verifies these details before launch and whenever they change.
Allowed with care Photographs and promotional slogansA doctor's photograph must not be used for self-advertisement, solicitation or promotional publicity (cl. 9.2), and "best" or "leading" claims need independent verification (cl. 8.1 ix). Design puts facts first, not promotional portraits or unverifiable slogans.
Your responsibility Forms, tracking and offersForms, booking tools, tracking and remarketing use personal data and must follow the applicable law (cl. 7.4, 7.6). Factual charges may be shown (cl. 8.1 x, 8.2 ii), but not misleading offers or countdowns. The clinic approves data handling and wording before launch.

How it runs, step by step

  1. Review the site and needs

We assess the current site, required pages, forms and information. You confirm which services and practitioners should appear and which functions are essential.

  2. Agree structure and scope

We prepare a page map, navigation and feature list for approval, showing what will be built and which items need clinical, privacy or legal review first.

  3. Design and build

We build the approved layout, pages and features from verified inputs. Uncertain claims and missing disclosures go back to you for clarification, never invented.

  4. Review and approve content

The doctor or authorised representative checks content, practitioner details, fees and descriptions, and the forms and privacy wording. A finished design is not approval.

  5. Test and launch

We check pages, navigation, forms, mobile layouts and links, record open issues and, once approval is given, release the site without promising rankings or patient numbers.

What we need from you
  • Verified doctor and registration details
  • Approved service, department and fee information
  • Clear requirements for forms and bookings
  • Your approval before anything goes live
What we won't do

We will not build pages around unsupported "best doctor" claims, misleading offers, promotional doctor photographs or guaranteed outcomes. We will not publish unverified qualifications, invent service information or add tracking without a data review. The doctor or institution approves content before launch. We never price per patient or per enquiry.

Our healthcare work is built around the NMC's 2026 guidelines. Read our guide to the rules and how we approach them.

Questions doctors ask

What should a healthcare website include under the NMC's 2026 guidelines?

Accurate information that suits the institution and its services. Hospital and institution websites may publish factual details on departments, facilities, equipment, services, accreditation and charges (cl. 8.3, 9.1), and doctor directories should use verified details. Exact requirements depend on who owns the site and what it says, so this is not a substitute for legal advice.

Can a hospital publish a doctor directory on its website?

Yes. A factual directory is recognised as patient information. The notice describes entries with names, recognised qualifications, specialties, registration details and availability (cl. 9.1). Keep them accurate and consistent, and do not turn profiles into claims that an individual doctor is better than others.

Can a doctor use their photograph on a professional website?

It depends on purpose and context. A doctor's photograph must not be used for self-advertisement, solicitation or promotional publicity (cl. 9.2), so a placement is not acceptable just because it is common. Review the intended use before adding a photograph, especially on a promotional layout.

Can you add appointment booking and contact forms?

Yes, subject to a privacy review. The clinic confirms what each form collects, why, who can see it and how it is handled. Personal data used in advertising must follow the applicable law (cl. 7.4, 7.6), and the clinic approves the final form and wording.

Do you guarantee that the new website will bring more patients?

No. We do not guarantee patient numbers, enquiries, revenue or search positions. We agree concrete deliverables, such as page structure, design, forms and launch checks, and the work is judged against that scope, its accuracy and how easy it is to use.

Is healthcare website development allowed under the NMC's 2026 guidelines?

Yes, within limits. The notice allows factual institutional information (cl. 8.3, 9.1) while restricting promotional claims and certain uses of a doctor's photograph (cl. 8.1 ix, 9.2). The content and features decide what is acceptable. Medmatis builds around the NMC's guidelines and does not claim NMC approval or certification.

What does a healthcare website cost in Kolkata?

The fee depends on the agreed scope: pages, design, forms, integrations and review. We set it before the project starts. It is never based on patients or enquiries, which the notice restricts (cl. 8.1 vii, viii). Whether a doctor may engage an agency at all (cl. 8.1 ii) is covered in our guide to the rules.

How do we start a website project with Medmatis?

We review your current site or write down what the new one needs, agree the page structure and features, prepare design and content, and get the doctor's or institution's approval. We then test the agreed pages before launch. Open content, privacy or legal questions are flagged, not assumed.
