For multi-speciality clinics and polyclinics in Kolkata
Digital Marketing For Multi-Speciality Clinics In Kolkata, Built Around The NMC Rules
Multi-speciality clinics and polyclinics need to explain their departments, available doctors and clinic timings in one consistent place. The challenge is presenting several doctors clearly without turning one into a promotional "star" or leaving profile details inconsistent. The NMC's Public Notice No. R-13014/01/2024-Ethics, dated 6 October 2026, describes a factual doctor-directory model and limits promotional portrayals and electronic doctor disclosures.
Medmatis is an NMC-compliant healthcare digital marketing agency in Kolkata: our work is built around the National Medical Commission's 2026 guidelines. Here is how those rules apply to multi-speciality clinics, and what we do about them.
Multi-speciality clinics can publish factual department information and a consistent doctor directory. Promotional portrayal of one doctor, missing doctor disclosures and pressure-led offers are the main risks.

What patients ask before they choose
The NMC rules that matter most for multi-speciality clinics
The notice binds doctors and hospitals, and an agency does not remove that responsibility (cl. 4.4). These are the clauses we design around.
What to publish, and what to leave out
✓Do
- Use one consistent template for every doctor profile
- Publish clear department and service descriptions
- Verify registration and consultation details
- Keep contact details and clinic timings up to date
✕Don't
- Promote one doctor as the clinic's "star"
- Rank doctors or claim one is superior
- Use offers that pressure patients into unnecessary care
- Use patient praise as promotional proof
How Medmatis works with multi-speciality clinics
We will not create "star doctor" campaigns, rank doctors through promotional claims, invent credentials, buy or script reviews, or use health-check offers to pressure people into unnecessary care. We will not manipulate search visibility or publish unverified profile details. The clinic checks and approves its information. We never price our work per patient or per enquiry (cl. 8.1 vii, viii).

Questions from multi-speciality clinics
Can a multi-speciality clinic list all its doctors on one website?
Yes. Clause 9.1 treats a factual directory of doctors, with names, recognised qualifications, specialties, registration details and availability, as patient information distinct from promotion. Use one layout across departments, verify each doctor's details, and do not turn the directory into a ranking or feature one doctor as superior.
Can the clinic promote one doctor as its star specialist?
No, treat it as barred. Clause 8.3 bars promotional portrayal of an individual doctor in institutional communication, clause 9.1 distinguishes a directory from promotion, and clause 9.2 bars photographs used for promotional publicity. Use consistent, factual profiles instead of "star doctor" banners or rankings.
Do all doctors need to approve every page before publication?
No rule says every doctor must sign off every page. Under clause 4.4, using an agency does not remove responsibility for content the doctor or institution authorised. The clinic should set a documented approval process, name who verifies each profile and department page, and make sure each doctor reviews their own profile.
Can a multi-speciality clinic advertise health-check packages?
Disclosing fees and packages is allowed if factual, transparent and not misleading. Clause 8.1 x bars discounts, coupons, gifts and free procedures likely to encourage unnecessary care or amount to solicitation. A package is not acceptable just because it spans several departments, so review its wording and structure before publishing.
Can a clinic use patient reviews across its website and Google profile?
Do not use patient praise as promotional proof. Explanation V of clause 3.2 bars fake, paid or misleading reviews for doctors and hospitals, and clause 6.2 says consent does not make promotional testimonials acceptable. How specific platform features apply to a clinic and its doctors may need legal advice.
Should every department have its own page?
Department pages help present factual information clearly, within the institutional information framework of clauses 8.3 and 9.1. Describe each department and its services accurately, without superiority claims or guarantees, verify the content with the clinic, and keep related doctor profiles consistent across the website.
